Internal - QHSE Engineer

After some initial experimentation within the HL&T department we have decided to roll out the QHSE engineer role broader within TWD.

Job summary

As QHSE Engineer you are assisting multiple lead engineer teams and play an important role in helping teams to make sure projects run smoothly. A key activity in this involvement will be using OPS latest tool, TWDs Project plan tool, in which you combine your PM knowledge with your newly gained QHSE risk-based thinking skills.
In this new role you will join the QHSE team and in a typical week you will spend 75% of your time helping the Operational project teams with their QHSE activities like:

  • With the team:

    • Be part of the team quality triangle

    • Act as bi-directional link between QHSE and team

  • In projects:

    • Facilitating and monitoring their project plans

    • Organizing and facilitating 3D safety and environment reviews (and DRA process if applicable)

    • Facilitate retrospectives and way-of-working sessions

    • Give solicited and unsolicited advice

The remaining part of the week you will help the company grow further by monitoring and improving key company processes together with other QHSE team members.
For this role you will be under the QHSE umbrella but in very close proximity to Operational teams. Regular shifts between TWD groups are expected for this role in order to gain and transfer the knowledge.

Qualifications

For this position we are looking for somebody with the following prerequisites:

  • Gets energy out of helping others

  • Is a good listener and reads between lines

  • Has run at least multiple projects as PR

  • Has affinity with quality, health, safety and environment

  • Is a natural facilitator of collaborative sessions (like 3D safety and environment reviews, DRAs with clients and retrospectives)

  • Is in control of personal tasks and responsibilities

  • Can easily communicate with teams as well as with clients

  • Can explain how and why to use the project management tools that are common within TWD, and has used them as such in past projects

  • Has a critical mindset that can bring improvements to TWD processes - eagle view
